Drinking?   Safety & Control Tips

brad21.com (Be Responsible About Drinking, Inc)

You are of legal age, and you plan to drink . . . fine, do it safely:

  1. Set a "Party Safe" goal for how many drinks you are going to have. Tell a friend the limit, count your drinks and stick to your goal.

  2.
  3. Remember "HALT" - If you are Hungry, Angry, Lonely or Tired, don't drink.

  4.
  5. Don't gulp your drinks, you'll get drunk faster. Drink slowly and make it last.

  6.
  7. Always eat a full meal before you drink. Effects of alcohol are much quicker on an empty stomach.

  8.
  9. Alternate between alcohol and non-alcohol beverages to slow the effects. Bring your own non-alcohol drink.

  10.
  11. Drink responsibly and encourage others to be mature in their drinking. Reckless or irresponsible behavior caused by intoxication shouldn't be encouraged or approved.

  12.
  13. Before you celebrate, designate! Remember to alternate the designated driver spot with friends.

  14.
  15. Remember, saying "No" is absolutely fine!
