 Our Community Sustainability Mission:

The mission of the Tri-Cities sustainability effort is to promote the healthy well-being of its citizens in a sustainable environment that brings economic benefits to the citizens and governmental entities, now and in the future.”

 

Approval of Minutes

Motion made to approve Aug 4 minutes by H.Duncan, second by L.Morrison, motion passed.

 

New Business

Ø      Through participation of statewide training in July of the Nebraska Sustainable Leadership Workshop by Joslyn Castle Sustainable Communities, an invitation was extended and accepted the USDA Rural Development Area Specialist Marla Marx to join the TCSP meetings.

Ø      Topics for tonight’s meeting included

ü      Review of Seven Principles of a Sustainable Built Environment (a copy to be sent to team members)

ü      Built Environment goals, strategies and timelines

Ø      Topic discussions will be placed in Inventory Towards Sustainability (ITS) documentation at end of TCSP development.  All information based upon draft documents, compilation reviewed at end of ITS gathering, posted on web for in depth review.
